Our team recently welcomed Allied Automation to our Canal Winchester facility to showcase a collaborative robotics solution developed and implemented entirely in-house at Nifco.
Designed and deployed by our Automation Engineering Team, this Universal Robots cobot supports the packaging of components for our capless fuel assemblies, a process that requires precise handling due to complex part geometry, tight container spacing, and critical sealing surfaces. By leveraging advanced force-sensing technology and Robotiq Force Copilot, the robot can accurately detect tote edges, surrounding parts, and unexpected obstacles, applying the right amount of force every time to ensure consistent, damage-free handling.
What once required hours of manual labor is now a reliable, automated process that improves efficiency, maintains product quality, and allows team members to focus on higher-value work, all while working safely alongside the robot.
We`re proud of what our engineering team accomplished, from concept and design to programming, integration, and launch, and we`re grateful to Allied Automation and Universal Robots & Teradyne Robotics for their partnership and support in helping advance automation on our production floor.

Last week, we welcomed team members, stakeholders, and suppliers for our 5th Annual Stakeholder & Supplier Appreciation.
Day 1 focused on leadership development and collaboration as managers and executives came together to discuss strategy, growth, and the future. A special thank you to Stephanie Wachman for leading an engaging leadership session and helping foster meaningful discussion throughout the day.
On Day 2, we had the opportunity to recognize and celebrate suppliers whose partnership and dedication continue to help drive our success. We`d also like to extend a special congratulations to Precision Polymers, recipient of Nifco`s first-ever Supplier of the Year Award, in recognition of their outstanding partnership, performance, and commitment to excellence.

The Molding LeadHER group recently came together for one of their two annual on-site meetings, focused on supporting and developing women in leadership across Nifco. During the session, the team planned for the year ahead, participated in leadership training, and tackled real-world role-playing scenarios to strengthen leadership skills. Members also broke into groups to read and discuss leadership books, share insights and perspectives, and rotate teams. The meaningful conversations, collaboration, and learning opportunities made for an engaging and productive experience.
